Dr. Namita Jaggi is currently the Director, Lab services and Infection control & Chief, Education & Research at the Artemis Hospitals, Gurgaon and Dwarka, India. She is an alumnus of the prestigious MAMC (Maulana Azad Medical College) in New Delhi, India and has more than 25 years of experience in Microbiology and Infection control having excelled in her academic career with many awards and distinctions.
She has been pivotal in setting up the Artemis lab, an NABL accredited lab with state of the art technology, stringent quality control and well qualified staff. Dr Namita is the chairperson for Infection Control Committee and the Infection control officer of the hospital. She leads and manages the robust and effective infection control program in the organization with her team of infection control nurses to reduce healthcare associated infections in patients, staff and visitors. Her key areas of interest and passion are antimicrobial stewardship, device-associated infection rates, healthcare worker safety and healthcare epidemiology. Under the leadership of Dr Namita, Artemis Hospital was the first hospital in India to be awarded for the WHO Asia Pacific hand hygiene excellence award, 2010-2011.
